| Mementos | From the Oroville Mercury, circa 1943 Alphie (Tex) Worthy, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Worthy of Chico Road, is in training at Pacific Coast navy base after having enlisted three weeks ago. Another son of the Worthys, James Edward, is also in the navy and is now at home on a short leave. He is stationed aboard ship in the Pacific area. A third son, Bobby Lee Worthy, is a sophomore at Oroville High School where he is making his mark in track. The Worthys came here two years ago from Texas.
